The Maharajah has been in existence for the past 40 years bringing to Cape Town a true Durban style curry.
Located in the heart of Tamboerskloof tucked away right below Table Mountain, this majestic Indian restaurant is a timeless classic that offers more than just an evening out.
Our high touch approach ensures memories that will last for a long time to come. This restaurant offers a wide range of North and South Indian dishes, the lamb off the bone,
the butter chicken and the Madras fish curry are must-try dishes on the menu.
As a pioneer of Indian cuisine the Maharajah has created a menu and a reputation that will take you through a journey of South African Indian style cuisine.
The fragrant aroma, effervescent flavours and presence of exotic ingredients and the use of other spices are cleverly orchestrated to bring out the authentic flavour in a dish.

Located on the first floor of the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, these two famed restaurants, side by side, command perfect iconic views of Cape Town.Teak cut-out wooden screens, Udaipur green marble and their signature state of the art open kitchens, Bukhara and Haiku serve up their mouth watering cuisine under one roof, yet subtly separated from each other by decorative screens. Outdoor seating on the deck and the large glass folding doors enhances the experience.

The Raj Indian Restaurants offers all the splendour of traditional North Indian cuisine. The service is efficient and friendly and the food is undeniably the most authentic Indian cuisine available in the country. The food is spicy, delicious and traditional with the menu offering a large variety of authentic Indian culinary styles such as Tikka Masala, Vindaloo, Korma and Bhoona. Our master chefs are all from India and bring with them at least seven proud generations of Indian culinary knowledge and traditions.
